The Anesthesia & Intensive Care category covers resources concerned with all aspects of anesthesia, including the delivery and administration of anesthetics, emergency medicine, critical care medicine, traumatology, burns, injury, and resuscitation. (Clarivate, CC, Scope Notes)
The scope of anesthesia has shifted from general anesthesia (GA) and spinal anesthesia (SA) for below-knee surgery to peripheral nerve blocks (PNB). Combined sciatic-femoral nerve block (SFNB) with ultrasound (USG) guidance can be a better format for use.
Probably one of the most anticipated anesthesia/analgesia books for 2013, I was ecstatic to get to review this book. This hard covered text, filled with 288 pages of pure brilliance on procedures and techniques for regional and local anesthesia/analgesia and written by top experts in the field, was anything but disappointing. The book allows the reader to brush up and appreciate all of the traditional techniques such as dental nerve blocks and intravenous regional anesthesia. The reader will also appreciate some of the newer techniques evolved for the veterinary field. Printed on high quality paper with tons of full color images, this book is a stunner. 59ce067264
